South East Advisor (SEA) is a fully automated forex trading system that works on a simple but effective trend reversal strategy of buy at low and sell at high. To avoid false reversals and provide optimal entry points, South East EA uses virtual trades to identify trends and uses a soft martingale approach along with grid averaging. The system also reduces drawdown by partially closing losing positions and maximises profits by trailing stops. Designed as an automated version of the manual trading method, SEA is designed to operate consistently without relying on lot compounding, making it a reliable tool for traders seeking stable, risk-managed growth.

How does it work?

The seller claims that South East EA does not use indicators and the entry points are determined by virtual trading to measure the highest and lowest trend. And this is the reason why backtesting will not adequately reflect the EA efficiency, but I still allowed myself to make some backtests, but about it below. As for the grid and martingale, the seller assures us that the Expert Advisor implements "mild martingale", which is supposedly not so terrible and is less dangerous than the usual one. Although, as I understood, its "mildness" is only due to the limitation of risks, limitation of drawdown and the number of simultaneously traded pairs.

Thus, the Expert Advisor opens positions based on the "Virtual trading" data and then accompanies it with a grid with averaging orders and trailing stop.

The work of the Expert Advisor is shown in this video. It is possible that the entry points will be different from real trading, but the trailing of an open trade, placing a grid of orders and their averaging will be the same:

Backtests

Of course, if the EA does not open its trades based on indicators, as the seller claims, testing on history will not give an adequate picture of the EA trading in real time. Nevertheless, I couldn't resist and made some tests. Take a look:

AUDCAD 2020-2025south-east-ea-backtest-audcad

EURGBP 2020-2025south-east-ea-backtest-eurgbp

EURUSD 2020-2025south-east-ea-backtest-eurusd

Please note that the testing was performed with the data modelling quality of 99.9%, which is possible only when using TDS2, which also has a number of unique features and allows testing with a wide range of settings, which helps to identify the so-called "history readers" among Expert Advisors, which are useless in real trading.

I still got some tests, and not even bad ones. But I don't understand why the Expert Advisor opens deals during backtesting if it is not guided by indicator signals. Apparently, the seller is not telling something, but okay...

Among the settings of the Expert Advisor I would like to note the possibility of setting the relative drawdown, virtual Stop Losses, which are designed to secure trading from broker's frauds, the ability to flexibly adjust distances for a grid of orders, settings for trailing, risks for martingale, the inclusion of news feed, etc. Read more details in the Manual.

The archive already contains 24 sets of optimal settings for 24 different pairs and TFs. But I would also reduce the risk there and limit trading to no more than three pairs at a time.

Conclusion

I know that most of you are wary and disdainful of different kinds of Expert Advisors that use a grid or martingale in their trading, but these are the EAs that are most effective in maximising profits in the shortest possible time. And to quickly increase the deposit are used exactly such EAs. But South East EA, despite the fact that it also uses a grid with martingale, is less fast and has low risks compared to similar EAs. The developer of SEA tried to protect the trader from possible negative consequences of risky trading methods of the EA. As a result, the EA is quite profitable martingale-networker with acceptable risk, capable of bringing profit for a long time. The Expert Advisor has a competently implemented risk management system, there is a limitation of the maximum drawdown, which can protect from the complete loss of all trading capital as a result of a prolonged counter-trend. But it is necessary to work with the settings of these risks to make the trading of the Expert Advisor profitable. I think, with a competent approach and timely withdrawal of earned profits, this Expert Advisor can provide +10% monthly to your deposit, and maybe even more.
